Understanding the anatomy of the eye is essential for comprehending how we see. Here are some key parts of the eye you should get familiar with:

  • Retina: The light-sensitive layer at the back of the eye that converts light into electrical signals sent to the brain.

  • Optic Nerve: The nerve that transmits visual information from the retina to the brain.

  • Macula: The area of the retina responsible for sharp central vision.

  • Vitreous Humor: The gel-like substance that fills the space between the lens and the retina, helping maintain the eye's shape.
